Today
Very unsettled across much of mainland Europe today. Showers will affect England. Showers will be heavy, widespread and with a risk of thunder across France and Belgium. More persistent and heavy rain is expected across Holland into Germany and Poland. A better day to come across Norway and Sweden with just a few widely scattered showers. Heavy rain and heavy showers again are expected across Finland, into northern parts of Russia. Largely dry across the Baltic States except for a few coastal showers. The best of the weather again will be from Portugal eastward across the Mediterranean. Lots of very warm sunshine is expected across Portugal, Spain through the Balearics into Italy, Greece and Turkey. Fine and sunny as well today across Bulgaria, the Adriatic Region, Romania and most of the Ukraine. Some rain to come later in the day across Austria with a few showers the Czech Republic and Hungary.

Wednesday
Largely dry across England today. While the south of France will be fine and dry, the rest of the country will see quite a few showers and these extend eastward into southern parts of Germany. Northern Germany, most of Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden will be fine and dry with sunny spells. Outbreaks of rain and heavy showers are forecast for Finland with heavy showers across the Baltic States. An area of rain will stretch from southern parts of Russia towards Belarus into Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Croatia. Apart from a few showers in the west, most of the Ukraine should be dry. A fine, dry and mostly sunny day to come from Turkey up through Bulgaria, Romania, across all of Greece and westward across into Italy, the Balearics, Spain and Portugal.
